Independent Learning #4: そうです
When you want to say that something seems to have certain properties, you can use そうです. To form a そうです sentence with い-adjectives, drop the final い. For な, just drop the な.
ケーキ は おいしそうです
The cake looks delicious
ケンくん は よさそうでした
It looked like Ken was good
ミーケさん は ゴルフ が 上手じゃなさそうです
It does not look like Mike is good at golf
